PureBS Summary: If you don’t know what to say, talk about the loss of acting legend Burt Reynolds.
Burt Reynolds (82) the megastar who was best known for his moustache and of course Smokey and the Bandit, Cannonball Run and more recently Boogie Night suffered a cardiac arrest on Sunday, September 9. He may be forever known for his breakout roll in 1972 in the hit movie Deliverance. A movie that he said he was proud of for opening the eyes of men everywhere to the realities of sexual violence by men against men.
Mr Reynolds also turned down some of the biggest roles in Hollywood history. He chose not to be Hans Solo in the Star Wars series, James Bond and Michael Corleone in the Godfather movies.
He was an actor who truly did what he felt he wanted to do, but was honest and openly admitted he made mistakes and had regrets. “I took the part that was the most fun…I didn’t take the parts that would be the most challenging” Reynolds admitted to CNN. He also shared openly of his financial troubles and personal issues with substance abuse. This sort of honesty is rarely seen in Hollywood. He will be missed.

- Cannonball Run is an epic movie, funny, adventurous and truly cutting edge. A cross-country race! Who hasn’t dreamt of that!
- Smoky and the Bandit is the best. Anytime you have a good-hearted guy on the run from the police. Can’t be beaten!
