PureBS Summary: If you don’t know what to say, talk about the man who finally cut his finger nails after 66 years!
Personal grooming is a quirky and very individualized thing thing. This is the story of one man who likely has different “trimming habits” than yourself…possibly! Check this out, 3 minutes of your life and you have a great story to share at the water cooler!!
Here’s what happened:
Shridhar Chillal (82 years of age), of Pune, India, hadn’t cut the fingernails which had grown to a collective 29 feet & 10 inches on his left hand since 1952, when he was 14 and a teacher got mad at him for breaking a nail.
The nails are now on display at Ripley’s in New York City. He decided to cut the nails as they were causing him a great deal of pain and it was difficult to sleep. He tried to cut the nails himself but it was too challenging so he went to a doctor who used a power grinder and removed them in just 20 minutes.
Pick a side!
- What a quitter! He couldn’t even go a full 70 years without cutting the nails on his left hand? What’s the deal with just the one hand as well? That’s PureBS!!
- This entire article makes me uncomfortable, those nails were so gross and unclean. How did he do that? What kind of person dedicates their life to the growing of one hands worth of nails.
